The Hub Chamonix is your home for trail running in the Chamonix valley. If it’s your first time visiting, you might be wondering how to get here, whether you can host a special event, cancellation policies, meals, or even if your company can partner with us. Here are your answers!
When are you open?
This summer, The Hub will be open from June 17 to September 17, 2023. Rooms are available to check into by 1pm. Departure is 10am. Should you arrive earlier or have a delayed departure, you’re welcome to store bags in our downstairs storage space. The Hub Chamonix is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
It’s my first time coming to Chamonix. Where do I go?
The Hub is located in an area called “Chamonix Sud,” the south end of town. The Chamonix valley, a 20 km-long, steep valley that runs roughly east-west, is made up of a number of small villages, all of which form the Chamonix commune. In the middle is Chamonix itself.
The Hub is a convenient 15-minute walk from the center of town, and is tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood. For directions, please see Getting to The Hub.
Can I book The Hub for a special event?
Absolutely. The Hub is excellent for self-contained groups, with a variety of common spaces and and all the usual amenities of a high-end chalet in the region. Contact us for special group pricing.
Can I park a car at The Hub?
Yes! The Hub has three parking spaces, which need to be reserved during the reservation process. There is an additional 10 euros parking fee per day. Our parking schedule coincides with our check-in and check-out times. Additional parking is available around town.
Do I need to be an expert trail runner to stay at The Hub?
The Hub is for anyone with an interest in trail running. As a community, we welcome all trail runners – whether you’re taking those first tentative steps, or are an elite athlete with an eye on the UTMB podium.
What is sharing your bunk space like?
The bunk space at The Hub is our most affordable overnight option. Your bunkmates will be respectful and considerate. But, some things– like snoring– are out of their control. So, if you have a big race coming up, or simply value your private space, consider booking one of our private rooms just for yourself. Please note that the bunk beds are a twin-bed size, so if you are a bit taller than your average trail runner, you might prefer a private room. If you’re a bit shorter, you won’t notice it!
Are there quiet hours?
Yes! We ask that Hub guests be respectful of other guests who might be sleeping, from 10 pm to 7 am.
Does The Hub provide meals?
The Hub does not provide meals, but private groups who use the chalet are of course welcome to arrange food service and catering as they wish. Restaurants and cafes are located a 15-minute walk away in Chamonix Sud. We do provide shared refrigerator and freezer space, and complimentary locally roasted coffee from our friends at Moody Coffee Roasters and a variety of complimentary teas.
Do you offer guided trail runs?
Yes, we do! We’re pleased to offer a booking service courtesy of our partners at Run the Alps. Run the Alps guides are often very busy during the summer, but some are often available for one, two, or three days of guiding in the region, including nearby locations in Switzerland and Courmayeur, Italy. You can book a guide using the Run the Alps guide booking form.
What are your payment terms?
50% of your reservation cost is due at the time of booking to secure your reservation. Final payment is due in full two weeks before your first nights stay. The credit card you use to make your deposit will be charged two weeks out.
What is your cancellation policy?
Your reservations at The Hub can be cancelled up to 30 days before your arrival date and you will receive a full refund. If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival date, there will be a penalty equal to 50% of your total reservation cost.
Can my company or team use The Hub?
Yes– and we even have special pricing for groups who want to book The Hub for exclusive use. Please contact us for pricing.
I’m interested in partnering with the Hub. Who should I contact?
A good partnership is a great thing. Let’s work together! What did you have in mind? Drop us a note.
